At Marvel Fusion, we’re pursuing an advanced fusion energy concept that combines a proprietary fast ignitor concept with key innovations for lasers, targets, and power plant technology.

Together with our strategic partner, Siemens Energy, and a network of leading industrial suppliers in Europe and in the United States, we’re aiming to unlock the potential of fusion energy for unlimited, competitive, and reliable power generation.

Marvel Fusion builds on the fusion approach that demonstrated target energy gain at the National Ignition Facility in 2022.

With the underlying physics validated, we’re focusing on the ignition process as the key to making laser-based inertial fusion energy commercially viable. This includes alternative fuel cycles for ignition, investigating cost-effective energy extraction technologies, and potentially eliminating the need for tritium in the fuel cycle.

Together, these innovations have the potential to substantially reduce costs, strengthen technological viability, and enable a future commercial implementation in a power plant.
